Truck veers off road, kills three brothers.

Three brothers died from injuries they suffered after an Eicher Jumbo truck they were travelling in veered off about 100 meter below the road at Wangkha, 81 km from Phuentsholing towards Chukha around 1:15 pm on December 9.
While the 25 year-old cousin brother died on the spot, the 30 year-old driver died after reaching Chukha hospital 45 minutes later and his 22 year-old brother died at 6:am yesterday at the Thimphu referral hospital.
Police said all three died of severe head injury and multiple body injuries. What cause the truck to veer off road is yet to be determined.
The Jumbo truck belonged to Shangrila Bhutan carriers, a goods transportation company and was not loaded. Except for the driver, the other two were not working for Shangrila Bhutan. “They had accompanied the driver to Phuentsholing from Thimphu,” police said. Police said the owner of the company bore all expenses.
All three are from Dagapela and married. The driver has two children. The rescue team from Chukha hydropower office, police and a team from the company helped in the rescue operation.
Police said the driver’s youngest brother had also traveled with them from Thimphu until Chukha and got off to take a ride in another Jumbo truck, which also belonged to the same company since the driver in that truck was alone.
A meat van driver who had also met with a small accident in the same area informed the police about the incident. The case is still under investigation.
